Canoe Rentals & More

Bear River Mercantile has a fleet of canoes and kayaks for rent. They offer a Camp Food Outfitting service, where they will make up your menu and put together all the food for your back country paddling trip. Bear River Mercantile also rents camping gear and they rent overnight accommodation on Bowron Lake.

A sample of the packages offered by Bear River Mercantile include the following:

Three day “Front Country Package” (stay at Bowron Lake for the whole stay) based on a two-person booking is $388.50 plus taxes.

Three day package for the “West Side Trip” based on a two person booking – with Bear River Mercantile supplying all gear, canoe, paddling and camping equipment for the full three days is $558.80 plus taxes. This does not include the park access permit, which is sold at the registration center.

A West Side Trip for two persons, with Bear River Mercantile supplying only the canoe, cabin and front country meals – guests supply all their own camp gear and backcountry food, is $370.00 plus taxes. This does not include the park access permit, which is sold at the registration center.
